Tony Jay (February 2, 1933 - August 13, 2006) was an English actor, voice actor, and singer. He was a former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, he was known for his distinct baritone voice which he used for villainous roles in animation, flim and computer games. He is best known for his work on the Elder God in the Leagcy of Kain series, Claude Frollo in Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Shere Khan in Jungle Book 2.
Death
In April 2006 he underwent surgery in Los Angeles to remove a non-cancerous tumor from his lung. He never fully recovered and was in critical condition for the following months, in August 13, 2006 he died at the hospital at the age of 73.
