2024 New Year Update & 2023 Round Up
First off, apologies for the lack of updates this year. My partner ended up getting a new job in the gaming industry and it’s been epic and gruelling and I can’t wait to see what comes out of it, but for now it has meant that I've needed to pick up the slack on our projects a bit so I’m trying to do a lot of stuff for the Raina Audron channel on top of my previous commitments. Unfortunately that means I’m having less time for other things and keeping updates going is proving to be an even bigger challenge than normal.
Anyway here’s what’s been going on this year:
As part of the Raina Audron channel I’ve been posting several Youtube videos on the series. Roughly we’re beginning to split into three threads for videos: ‘Arcane Tomes’ for lore details and explanations, ‘Developer Chronicles’ for behind the scenes and game details and ‘Nosgoth News Network’ for real world news and updates related to LoK. Avernus Cathedral, also known as The Great Cathedral of Avernus, was the focal point of the city of Avernus and the center of worship for the religion of the inhabitants. They were the home of the matriarch of Avernus - Dimension Guardian Azimuth the Planar. Unknown to most, the catacombs beneath the cathedral were home to a different type of worship, that of the Hash'ak'gik Cult and its 'Demonic' Hylden influence. The Cathedral was a playable location in Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Legacy of Kain: Defiance.

The ' front cover of the official German 'Vorgeschichte' comic. The comic appears as part of the official German language guidebook to Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - Das Offizielle Lösungsbuch. The title which translates as "history" recaps much of the events of the Soul Reaver era leading up to the game, with Raziel shortly into his new wraith existence, recounting the rise of Kain's empire, his own execution and resurrection. The comic is notably not associated with the other Legacy of Kain comics which were produced by Top Cow and was only published as part of the German language strategy guide.
