Eldritch Energy recharges were special recharge platforms found exclusively within Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. When in contact with a platform it would continually fill Raziel's Eldritch energy, allowing him to cast Glyph spells.

Eldritch energy recharges are only found in certain places in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and appear in the main Glyph chambers after Raziel successfully obtains each of the Glyphs. They are represented as a blue eye on the ground accompanied by glowing blue particles.[SR1][SR1-C4][SR1-Misc]

When Raziel steps into one, the blue particles become golden and they completely refill his Glyph energy to his current maximum amount.[SR1]

Only one of the Eldritch energy recharges must necessarily be encountered; with the recharge found at the Sanctuary of the Clans and Kain's throne room at the Pillars appearing when Raziel finished the battle with Kain and gained the Wraith Blade in Soul Reaver (chapter).[SR1][SR1-C4] Later recharges were associated with the optional Glyphs and would be spawned at each glyph altar area after its completion.[SR1][1]

  • Eldritch energy recharges are not named in game, but they are officially referred to as such in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver manuals.[2] In the Prima guide variant terms are used such as "Glyph energy refill spot", "Glyph energy refill marker", "Glyph refill marker" or "Glyph energy refill".[3]
  • The Eldritch energy recharges are notably marked with an eye symbol; and such symbols are usually associated with the Elder God and his followers. It is not clear if the Eldritch recharges have the same association.[SR1][SR2][DEF]
